Awal Muharram also known as Maal Hijrah, marks the beginning of the Islamic New Year and it is the day on which the year count is incremented. According to Muslims, this month is considered to be the perfect time for self-reflecting, the time for a new beginning and time for change towards continuous improvement in life.
